Summer Reeds and Stac Pollaidh - Loch Lurgainn
Description
For a number of years now I have been drawn to the reed and lily beds that adorn many of the Highlands Loch’s. Some of the best examples of these can be founds amongst the 100’s of lochs and lochans that make up the Coigach and Inverpolly areas, north of Ullapool.
This is my favourite image from the Summer of 2025, showcasing a vibrant and green Stac Pollaidh in the background and a foreground brought alive by the ochre leaves and green reed shoots in Loch Lurgainn.

All prints are prepared in house at the Old Butchers Gallery, using the best archival inks and printed on Fotospeed’s Gloss Art Fibre. This is a heavyweight (310gsm), fine art paper with a textured, semi gloss finish, specifically chosen to compliment the vibrant summer colours of the scene.
